The District Caucus will be held on Friday, June 23rd at 8:00 AM at The Minneapolis Convention Center. Coffee, tea, and juice will be provided at this meeting. Light breakfast foods may be made available but not guaranteed. If you are scheduled to be a delegate, it is critical that you make every effort to attend this meeting. Guests are invited to attend as well.
The District will have an office in room 206A. Hours will be determined closer to the event. Here you will be able to have your delegate form certified, pick up your shirt order, campaign material for Kip Crain, or just take a break someplace quiet.
There will be a District Dinner on Friday, June 23rd in the ballroom of the Millenium Hotel. Please use the registration form below to RSVP. Deadline to register is May 31.
Please wear your Ohio Kiwanis Red shirt to the House of Delegates session on Saturday, June 24th. If you do not yet have one, you may order one at https://shirtresponders.com/products/ohio-kiwanis-district-shirt. Mark your order as “Pick Up From Shop” as the delivery method. May 16th is the deadline to pre-order for free delivery at ICON. We will issue ordered shirts at the District Office.
All attendees from the Ohio District will be mailed a letter with Ohio details, an Ohio nametag ribbon, and District Dinner meal ticket(s) if ordered in early June.
Please consider volunteering for a shift at Kip Crain’s campaign booth in the World Showcase.
On to International Convention Chair is Hasani Wheat. Kip’s campaign chair is Alan Penn.
Hotel
Ohio’s designated hotel is the Millennium ($187/night), however, there are also other hotels in the vicinity near the Convention Center. The Millennium is the closest hotel to the convention center, connected by the skybridge.
The deadline to book within the Kiwanis room block is May 25.
There will be other major events held in Minneapolis during this week. Rooms will sell out quickly so do not delay in reserving your hotel room.
Pro-tip: You may want to consider rooming with another individual to save on some money.
